BATTLES OF LEXINGTON AND CONCORD
The batte of lexington & Conord started on april 19,1775. THey faught because of tensions
between residents of the 13 colonies and British authorities, particularly in Massachusetts. The
day before the battle started hundreds of british troops marched from boston to nearly concord
in order to seize and arms cache.
Pual Revere and other riders sounded the alarm and colonial militiamen began mobilizing
to intercept the redcoat column. A confrontation on the lexington town green started off
the fighting, and soon the british were hastly retreating under intense fire. the evening before
april 19, british troops with ferried across the boston harbor to start to start their march on
lexington, but the colonists won their independence. The british leader had a secret plan that
the colonists didn't know about, that they would capture colonial leaders sam adams and john
hancock then conord, where they would seize gun power.
THE BATTLE OF LEXINGTON
The battle of lexington was a very small battle. when british arrived there where only 80
militiamen in the town. they were lead by captain john parker. colonists didn't expected to fight,
but when they heard the gunshot, they realized british was attacking. The gunshot was the first of the american revolution and start of the war. The gun shot was called "shot heard around the world.''

RETREATED TO TEH OUTSKIRTS OF CONCORD AND OBSERVED THE BRITISH FROM OTHER SIDE OF THE NORTH
BRIDGE. AS AMERICANS WAITED MORE AND MORE LOCAL MILITIAMEN ARRIVED MAKING FORCES AND FORCES.
AMERICANS RETREATED TOT EH OUTSKIRTS OF CONCORD AND OBSERVED. AMERICAN TROOPS WERE GROWING
RAPIDLY. AMERICANS LOST LOST 73 AND 174 GOT WOUNDED, BUT THEY DEFEATED BRITISH.
